            District Training Officer  : Alison Hulse

Alison Hulse is Training and Development Officer (TDO) for the North Lancs and Bolton and Rochdale Districts of the Methodist Church.

The TDO scheme was set up in 1999 with the vision;

·        That all Churches and Circuits should have access to a team of highly motivated Training and Development Officers who will operate with and use ecumenical links and theological resource centres.

·        That the TDO will enable the whole people of God to become more effective in mission and ministry among people of all ages.

·        That the TDO will encourage the local church to develop as a learning community.

Training and Development Officers work under the guidance of a Strategic Management Committee representing the Districts concerned and the Connexion.  The TDO works to provide education, training and the encouragement of new initiatives by the churches in their communities.
